After a massive glitch that surge through out the Backyard Monsters Universe in Google Plus. Viximo Officially announces that Backyard Monsters will say goodbye to google plus at July 15, 2012. It's kind of sad for the google plus users that will have to say goodbye to their yards and all. Sometimes bugs can just destroy a game.
This June, G+ Backyard Monsters players got the notification (the picture above) when they access the game on G+ today.
Base on the notification, Viximo isn't giving any refunds. Instead the Viximo credits that have left can be used in their other game. All the progress will be lost. Although we hope Viximo reconsiders at least partial refunds.
It has been known when the BYM got glitched, Viximo immediately got in touched with Kixeye. As we further our investigations, we have concluded that it was Kixeye's call to shutdown Backyard Monsters in Google plus. As what the BYM plus page has mentioned in this screenshot when somebody ask them about the shutdown.
We hope the Google plus users will at least try to migrate in other versions of BYM in other sites like Facebook and Kongregate. It's a sad day for BYM players. We hope that that there will be no other news such as this in the future.
UPDATE: BYM all launched by Viximo are getting taken down. Yahoo version will also be removed and other Viximo BYMs on other networks. Only Facebook and the Kongregate version will remain.
