You may already have seen the MR3 Photo published by the BYM official app page if you're an avid reader of MR3 posts then you're in luck. We will now squeeze out all the information that is made available by this image. We will use all our observation skills to have a bigger picture for the upcoming map room.
Lets Get Started
Lets start with obvious things. Alliances will still be in MR3. David Scott is the one who took this pic judging from the screenshot and has the alliance tag "Darth Sith".
Observations
Okay now, we will use all of the things we know about MR3 to deduce the elements on the map. First off we see that every special hex in the map (I'm talking about resource outposts, defense outposts and main yard) is surrounded by 6 "regular outposts". We can also see that the "tower outposts" or "defense outposts"(the hexes with the new MR3 Outpost Building) and "resource outposts"(the hexes that has like a building with the colors of green, violet and white. Basically the colors that represent resources) as David said in the official MR3 thread are present. You might ask why there are outposts surrounding the tower, resource outpost and MYs. They are there to add defense bonuses and more housing space to the Main yard. It seems to me that only outposts like the resource and tower outposts will have levels and the levels on them are completely independent from what your level in the game will be (e.g. if you are level 44 then resource outposts and tower outposts wont necessarily be level 44). The yellow "Regular Outposts" means they aren't own by anyone. The green "Regular Outposts" means they are an allied alliance and red "Regular Outposts" means they are enemies of your alliance. Basically the same as the current color system for alliances.
Note: "Tower Outposts", "Resource Outposts" and "Regular Outposts" are not their official names.
Others
Other changes will include bushes and grass to the world map. And it seems to me that elevation will also be removed from the game.
Conclusion
As Dave always says, nothing is set in stone. There might be last minute changes done to the new world map before it's released. Aesthetics wise its a good looking map. Now the only thing we should look forward to is how Wild Monster Bases will be incorporated in this brave new world that we are yet to play for ourselves. And as always, thanks for reading.
