BYM Update 2012-06-29 Yard Planner 2!, +1 Yardage and Some bugs

Yes it has finally arrived! The BYM Gods (Devs) Finally heard our prayers to release the new yard planner. Equip with the tools that you need to make your masterpiece. With this update, Kixeye also added another yard expansion. Making the max yardage to 6. But along with something this great. It would be a miracle without any bugs. Although, I think Kixeye is already working on a fix. And we don't need to upgrade the yard planner.

Backyard Monsters Says Goodbye to Google Plus

After a massive glitch that surge through out the Backyard Monsters Universe in Google Plus. Viximo Officially announces that Backyard Monsters will say goodbye to google plus at July 15, 2012. It's kind of sad for the google plus users that will have to say goodbye to their yards and all. Sometimes bugs can just destroy a game.

Monster Abilities That You Should Research First!

In this post, we talk about monster abilities and what things you should research first and why. People tend to disregard the order in which you unlock monsters and their abilities. But in order for you to be a smart player. You need to waste less time unlocking useless things and start unlocking the ones you will actually use. We will rank every ability so you won't be scratching your head when your done reading this article.

The Servers (List Included)

For as long as I could remember. When the world map was released, people once thought there was only one world. But as we all know now is that the World Map is not actually 1 World Map but there are a lot of them. So we began to wonder, how many are there? How should we name them? Luckily for us, the forumers figured out a way to tell which server is which. We figured out that by naming servers using the person's name on the 0x0 coords we can figure out which server you are and which one your friends are in too.

BYM Events

Today, We will talk about BYM events through the years. You may not know some of them. The images on the left are the prizes you get for some of them.  For instance the Totem poles, You can only have them during the 2 WM invasion. The more waves you can survive, the better your totem becomes. 

BYM Update 2012-06-22 Town Hall level 10, New Tower Levels and More Blocks!

Awesome Update for today. We now get to unlock the new townhall with all its awesomeness. After 2 weeks of Krallen and some other updates. We finally get this. But there will be massive game balancing on attacking vs defense.

The D.A.V.E. Club

The Dave Club has arrived. The Premium subscription service or premium membership for Backyard Monsters. We will talk about what it will you receive if you join. What will be its effects in the whole BYM userbase. Is this a good or bad addition to the game? And more... This was added on update 2012-06-15.

True Range Of Towers

The yard planner tower ranges and also the tower ranges you get when you point your mouse to a tower is also not accurate. The tower ranges in Backyard Monsters isn't that accurate due to how the game was designed. The range of towers differs horizontally and vertically. Today, we will show what the true tower ranges are.

BYM Update 2012-06-15 Brace Yourself For Krallen and the Dave Club

BYM's Latest update is the addition of Krallen to BYM. Krallen will enter the Backyard Monsters universe this Monday 12pm. Only if you have finished the event quota this week. 


The grand entrance of Krallen isn't that great since you need to loot 500m of each resource just to have him. And you need to loot 1b resources more to have his abilities. To top it all off, you'll have to finish the loot quota in subsequent weeks just to level him up.

Krallen Event Update - A Little More To Go

Epicness is just 5 hours more(base on the time that I'm writing this post). All hell breaks loose and it will be the time to Hunt For Krallen. Many Speculations have risen. Maybe we only have a whole day for the event and not a whole week like before? Maybe Krallen will only have 3 levels? Maybe the Loot meter will be too high? 


Already in a good spot for your monstrous looting needs? Are you ready for the bloody battle ahead of you? Are you determine enough to tame this wild beast which is known as the great Krallen!

Eye-ra Observations

We will be talking about Eye-ra the first wall monster and only suicide monster. A potential threat to your yard. And a lot of ways to be used for your own advantage in the game.


Lets get Started:
1. A max level Eye-ra can destroy block levels 1-4 in just one hit while a diamond block takes 2 Eye-ras to be destroyed.
2. It's a key component if you want to destroy an ultrakit since ultrakits don't have any eye-ra baits.

How to Get Korath

Korath the Inferno Champion. The First Champion and Monster that can only be unlocked via an event. In particular the Monster Madness Event. I'm here to write this post for the thousands if not millions of Backyard Monsters Players who didn't had a chance to get Korath.
Korath is one of the most powerful Champions in Backyard Monsters. It has 3 abilities with amazing attack and hp numbers. It's a force to be reckoned with. That's why it's only unlockable in the Monster Madness event. 

BYM Update 2012-06-08 New Take Over Costs

Another Take-Over Cost update has arrived. It will change BYM gameplay forever. But there still hope. We just need to appeal to Kixeye that this update is jut gonna make things worst. I guess, Kixeye tweak there original plan a little before they made the update. The planned changes are here.

Shiny Spending Guide

We have an interesting topic for today. And guess what, It's about the single most awesome thing on Backyard Monsters. It's Shiny! We will talk about what should you purchase and what not to never purchase in the game. Since because Shiny, is hard to earn. Watching ads and picking mushrooms can only give you so little for the amount of time collecting it. And not to mention that it is simply expensive for others. And maybe if you buy a ton of shiny every month but you don't know how to spend your shiny correctly. No fear this post is all for you. We will go to every single thing you should and shouldn't spend shiny on.

The Future of Take-Over Costs

As an update for our Take-Over Forecast post. We will talking about Kixeye's next plan to the Take-Over Changes. The new plan now is the take-over costs will reflect the value of the OP. It will probably be calculated via empire points.

Krallen Event Update - It's Gonna Be Quota Based!

Cheers! Kixeye officially changed their mind and will make Krallen quota based. Just like Korath but instead of collecting Empire Points, we will be collecting loot. Basically, we will have a loot meter with a percentage of completion. 

Gorgo, Still the Great?

Ever wondered why Kixeye named Gorgo "The Great"?


June 18, 2011, The Champions of Backyard Monsters were released. Gorgo's level 6 stats was by the far the best of the 3 Champions since the bonus feeds we'rent still available at that time. Gorgo used to be the top rated Champion. In fact he was my first champion (Which I later juice after a few months). Having 240,000 hp and 3,300 damage, a level 6 drull standing in his way will be pwned.

BYM Update 2012-06-01 Alliance Error Fixed

BYM Players! Another update has come. Sadly it's not a Yard Planner 2 update. But it's still good news. Kixeye are taking steps on cleaning their databases and prioritizing the Alliance Bug. Which is the General  Error bug which doesn't allows you to join and create alliances. They now have a fix for the alliance bug but if you still have an error then read the procedures below.
