My latest discovery on the New World Map is the Outpost Defender. Strongholds, Main Yards and Resource Outposts will need to be defended by surrounding them with a ring of these. SHARE this if you want to know more.
So What Is It?
The thing in the picture is called the outpost defender. They are inside in what we call "Defender Cells" (That's the official name). Defender Cells surrounds Mainyards and Outposts (Resource Outposts & Strongholds).
What Else?
Well, owning a Defender Cell or Defender Cells will give defense bonuses to the outpost or mainyard beside them. So if you have outposts that are surrounded with Defender Cells it will be significantly harder to take down the outpost or the mainyard being surrounded.

Outpost Defenders:
Six Outpost Defenders surround every Main Yard, Resource Outpost and Stronghold.
You can take over an Outpost Defender by attacking and destroying it, there are no take over costs.
Conquer Outpost Defenders surrounding Strongholds & Resource Outposts to lower their defenses and secure your hold on them.
Outpost Defender Defensive Buff Stats
1 Defender: 7% damage reduction
2 Defenders: 13% damage reduction
3 Defenders: 23% damage reduction
4 Defenders: 35% damage reduction
5 Defenders: 50% damage reduction
6 Defenders: 75% damage reduction
